Rene began Alter’d Carbon’s journey in October 2020. Focusing on wellness for the body, mind, and spirit.

I sought out Therapeutic Massage Therapy when my chronic pain was at its worst and I always felt like they were very clinical. However, I wanted to create an earthy experience for clients who seek relaxation, and rejuvenation in a comforting and cozy environment. I opened Alter’d Carbon BodyWorX just a couple of months before I graduated with a Master of Massage Therapy & Associate of Occupational Sciences. I have since completed my Medical Massage Certification and taken continued education courses in Reflexology and Common Medical Conditions.

When Kelsey joined up with Alter’d, a bigger picture began to develop. The idea of something bigger than just a small therapeutic practice became more real.

Kelsey fell in love with skincare at a young age, and she got her esthetician license at a cosmetology school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After obtaining her license in 2016, she moved back to her tiny home town Portales, New Mexico where she opened her own spa, “Blink” in a hair salon.

After closing her business and moving to Wichita in December 2019, she got licensed in the state of Kansas! We are happy to have her as a part of Alter’d Carbon!
